This Privacy Policy explains how B. W. Schneider Enterprises, LLC ("Sightline," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with this website and, once available, the Sightline live visual support platform (the "Service"). Sightline is currently in a pre-launch waitlist phase, so most of what we collect today is simply the email address you give us to join that list. We've also described, further down, how data is intended to be handled once the full Service launches, so you know what to expect.
Today (waitlist site): if you submit the signup form on this site, we collect your first and last name, company name, work email address, and the number of support technicians at your organization. We don't require an account to join the waitlist.
Once the Service launches: we expect to collect: (1) account information for support technicians and their organizations, typically provisioned via your employer's SSO provider (name, work email, employer); (2) session metadata, such as timestamps, session duration, and which technician(s) joined a session; and (3) the phone number or email address an end-user invite link is sent to, which is used only to deliver that link and is not retained longer than necessary for that purpose.
We don't require end users (the people being supported in a session) to create an account or provide any personal information beyond the contact method a technician uses to send them a session link.
We use the information described above to: operate and improve the waitlist and, later, the Service; notify you about beta access and product updates; provide customer support; secure accounts and sessions; and comply with legal obligations. We don't sell your personal information, and we don't use waitlist emails for anything other than communicating with you about Sightline.
Sightline's core support sessions are designed to be ephemeral by default:
If we later offer an optional session-recording feature, it will be opt-in and clearly disclosed, and this policy will be updated before that feature is available.
We rely on a small number of service providers ("subprocessors") to operate Sightline. As the Service is built out, we expect this to include: a WebRTC media relay provider for live video sessions, a messaging provider for SMS/WhatsApp/email invite links, and a cloud infrastructure provider for hosting. Each provider only receives the data necessary to perform its function, and we'll maintain a current list of subprocessors as the Service approaches launch, made available to customers on request.
We keep your waitlist email until you unsubscribe, ask us to delete it, or the waitlist is closed out at launch. Once the Service is live, account data is retained for as long as your organization's account is active, and invite-link contact details are discarded shortly after the corresponding session ends or expires.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port the personal information we hold about you, and to opt out of certain uses of it. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below — for a waitlist entry, this is usually as simple as asking us to delete your email address. If you're located in the EU/UK or a jurisdiction with a comprehensive privacy law (such as California, Virginia, Colorado, or others), we'll honor applicable rights requests under that law.
Sightline is intended for business use and is not directed to children. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
We may update this policy as Sightline evolves, particularly as we move from waitlist to beta to general availability — most notably, the sections above describing the live Service will be finalized as it's built. We'll post the updated version on this page and update the "Last updated" date above.
